Booking Conditions
1.
General
Guests
undertake to keep the holiday cottage and all furniture, fixtures,
fittings and effects in or on the premises in the same state of
repair and condition as at the commencement of the holiday and also
undertakes to leave the premises in the same state of cleanliness
and general order in which it was found. Milburn Grange Holidays
should be compensated for any damage and breakages that may occur
(fair wear and tear excepted).
2.
Bookings
Subject
to availability of the accommodation requested, bookings will be
confirmed upon receipt of the deposit. Receipts will not be issued
for the balance of the fee unless requested. Should a receipt be
required please send a stamped, self-addressed envelope with your
cheque for the balance of the cost of the holiday accommodation.
The accommodation may only be used by the person named on the booking
form. The number in the party must not exceed that which was booked.
3.
Payment
A
deposit of 25% of the total cost is required to secure a booking.
The balance is due at least six weeks before the commencement of
the holiday. The full cost of the holiday is payable on any booking
made within six weeks of the date booked.
4.
Cancellation
If
the guest finds it necessary to cancel the holiday before the final
balance is due he should inform Milburn Grange Holidays immediately
who will then endeavour to re-let the cottage. If the cottage is
re-let the deposit will be returned less an administration fee of
£25. In the event that the cottage is not re-let then, unfortunately,
all monies paid are forfeit and the person booking the holiday will
be liable for the full cost of the booking. If the guest finds it
necessary to cancel the holiday after the final balance becomes
due, whether or not the final balance has been paid, then unless
the cottage is re-let the guest will be liable for the full cost
of the holiday. We strongly advise that you insure against cancellation
and will forward a proposal form with confirmation of your booking
or guests may purchase this on-line.
5.
Arrival/Departure
Guests
are requested to arrive at Milburn Grange after 3.00 pm on the day
of arrival and, to assist us in ensuring the cottages are ready
for the arrival of new guests, to vacate the cottage before 10.00
am on the day of departure. Please ensure that you leave the cottage
keys in the front door before leaving.
6.
Pets
By
prior arrangement, guests are welcome to bring one to two well-behaved
dogs (no puppies) at a cost of £20 per week each. Guests are respectfully
requested to ensure that their pets are not allowed on beds or other
furnishings and not left unattended in the property. For the benefit
of other guests dogs must be kept on a lead in the grounds of Milburn
Grange and any 'mess' cleared while in the gardens/grounds of Milburn
Grange
7.
Smoking
For
the benefit of non-smokers, we ask guests not to smoke inside any
of the cottages.
8.
Complaints
Milburn
Grange Holidays tries to do everything possible to create an environment
for an enjoyable holiday but occasionally things can go wrong. Please
make any complaints during occupation of the cottage and we will
do what we can to resolve the matter. It is regretted that no correspondence
can be entered into in the case of complaints made upon departure
or after your return home, when it will surely be appreciated that
it is quite impossible for the problems to be effectively investigated
or corrected.
9.
Liability
The
Proprietors do not accept liability for loss or damage to personal
property brought to Milburn Grange, however caused. The Proprietors
do not accept liability for any personal injury sustained by guests
or visitors to Milburn Grange, however caused.
10.
Privacy Policy
The
Proprietors need to know your name and address in order to confirm
the booking of a cottage or respond to a request for a brochure.
Unless you advise us otherwise the Proprietors will add these details
to a database in order that we may correspond with you at the end
of the year.
When
a cottage is booked the Proprietors require a credit or debit card
number and expiry or issue date in order to take a holding deposit/process
the booking. A telephone number and email address are requested
to facilitate communication regarding the booking. When a cottage
is booked the guest may either complete a Booking Form on-line using
our secure server or complete a hard copy of the form for faxing
or mailing. The secure server software (SSL) encrypts all information,
including credit/debit card details before it is sent to Milburn
Grange..
Milburn
Grange Holidays are committed to protecting your privacy. We do
not sell, trade, rent, exchange or distribute in anyway your personal
details.
As
required by the UK Data Protection Acts of 1984 and 1998, we follow
strict security procedures in the storage and disclosure of information
which you have given us, to prevent unauthorised access. The person
responsible for privacy matters is Russell Clark.
